The prices at this restaurant are fair and the sushi is really good. I also enjoyed the edamame, although I think it could use a little improvement. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to others.

My recent experience with MJ Sushi was for takeout, as I prefer to enjoy their food from the comfort of my own home. While I've only dined in at their Fremont location once, I find the ambiance lacking and the parking situation in the busy plaza to be a challenge. On this particular occasion, I decided to try the deluxe chirashi. The price seemed reasonable, although at $40 after tax, it's not something I would indulge in weekly. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, the sushi rice was flavorful, and the variety of fish was a nice touch. However, I was a bit disappointed not to find any scallop or hotate in my order, especially after seeing photos of them on Yelp. Surprisingly, I discovered a newfound appreciation for uni during this meal. The uni was incredibly fresh, which made all the difference in my enjoyment of it. I also appreciated being able to request fresh wasabi, which added a nice kick to each bite. Despite it being a busy Fathers Day weekend, my order was ready in just ten minutes after I placed the call at 7:30pm. This efficiency and quick service definitely impressed me. Overall, I would consider ordering from MJ Sushi again, but only after confirming whether or not they are serving it with scallop that day. It's always good to know what to expect with each order.

After venturing into this charming restaurant, I was immediately impressed by the quality of the food, the impeccable cleanliness, and the genuine friendliness of the staff. I can proudly say that I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience and can't wait to come back again soon. One interesting fact that I learned during my visit was that they source their Uni from Santa Barbara and have successfully opened two other locations. It's wonderful to see a restaurant that takes pride in where they source their ingredients from and continues to expand their business.

My friends and I decided to dine at this restaurant last weekend, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! The moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the staff who continued to be friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The dishes were served promptly and presented beautifully, showcasing the restaurant's attention to detail. The flavors were consistently delicious, making it one of the best dining spots for sushi in the area. Needless to say, we will definitely be returning for more culinary delights in the future!

Tried out this restaurant through UberEats and was disappointed by the appearance of the sushi rolls. They looked quite sad and were much smaller than expected. In fact, they were probably the skinniest rolls I've ever come across. If you're looking for a more satisfying sushi experience, I would recommend ordering from Kakuna instead.

Title: Unexpected Twists at MJ's Sushi Bar Walking into MJ's Sushi Bar, get ready to be taken on a culinary journey like no other. Starting with a simple request for water, prepare to be surprised as you're handed a Kirkland water bottle - a quirky touch that comes with a price tag. No tap water oasis here, just bottled liquid gold for a dollar. Now onto the sushi. Expect the unexpected as the dishes might not meet your high sushi standards. Rolls that don't quite make the mark, leaving you wondering if you're at a comedy show instead of a sushi restaurant. It's safe to say that the fishiness level barely hits a 2.9 out of 5. Despite the underwhelming sushi, the service at MJ's shines bright like a gem. The staff's friendliness can charm you in an instant, making you feel right at home. The ambiance adds to the experience with tables spaced out like in a space station and a noise level that is sure to wake up the sushi in the ocean depths. And let's not forget about the parking situation - a dimly lit maze that makes finding your car an adventure in itself. It's all part of the post-sushi journey that awaits you after dining at MJ's. In the end, if you're seeking a unique dining experience with a touch of comedy and a hint of adventure, MJ's Sushi Bar may just be the place for you. But for this sushi lover, it's time to bid farewell and explore new culinary horizons.

Recently went to this sushi spot with a group of friends. We're not experts when it comes to sushi, but we do appreciate good quality and presentation. This place definitely delivered on both fronts. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the price was definitely reasonable. We also tried a few of the rolls, which were good, but didn't quite match up to the sashimi. The house brand warm sake was a pleasant surprise - so delicious! Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back. The service was efficient, and the atmosphere was what you would expect from a typical strip mall sushi joint - neither amazing nor terrible. Looking forward to our next visit!

During my recent visit to this restaurant, I found that all of the dishes I tried were delicious. The only minor hiccup we encountered was that the teriyaki dish seemed to be lacking in sauce. However, our server quickly rectified the situation by bringing us extra sauce without any hesitation. I was impressed by the efficiency of the service, as our meals arrived promptly and our server checked in on us frequently, even during the restaurant's busiest times. The restaurant itself has an open layout with plenty of tables, although the interior decor is rather plain and unremarkable. Overall, my dining experience was enjoyable and I would definitely consider returning in the future.

I recently visited MJ restaurant for a spontaneous dinner out with friends, and it was a pleasant experience! The restaurant had ample seating and stayed open late, which was convenient for our group. Our waitress highly recommended the Blue Fin Tuna Belly Nigiri, and I have to say, it was absolutely delicious. We also tried the 49er roll and the B B roll, which were both light and flavorful - perfect for sharing among the four of us. What stood out to me was the fact that they offer a lot of takeout options, which is always a plus. The prices were reasonable, with our bill coming to a total of $90 for five rolls, two pieces of nigiri, and four sodas for the group. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. While I might consider visiting Little MadFish in the future due to its location and proximity, I would definitely recommend giving MJ a try for a tasty and satisfying dining experience.

I had the most incredible dining experience at this restaurant. I can honestly say that the sushi here exceeded all of my expectations. One late night, I decided to bring my mom and sister along for a meal, and we were all blown away by the quality of the food. The vegetarian rolls were a definite standout - they were truly amazing. My sister opted for the steak and was amazed at how tender and flavorful it was. The interior of the restaurant was spotless and well-organized, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The staff members were extremely attentive and provided top-notch customer service throughout our meal. We felt so well taken care of during our visit. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of delicious sushi, vegetarian options, or simply a fantastic dining experience. Whether you're a sushi lover, a vegetarian, or just someone with a big appetite, this place is sure to satisfy your cravings. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
